Managing Pain & Chronic Conditions
Hydrotherapy may be a great option for pets with limited mobility, such as those recovering from an injury or surgery. Water therapy, where your pet walks on a submerged treadmill, can be a safe way to stretch muscles without putting additional strain on your pet’s joints.
Many chronic conditions can also be treated with hydrotherapy, such as arthritis. We can also devise a specialized treatment plan for pets suffering from other chronic issues, such as medication and diet changes for ongoing allergies or chemotherapy for pets with cancer.
End-of-Life Care & Euthanasia
End-of-life decisions are some of the hardest a pet owner will have to make. This is never an easy topic and making hard decisions for the benefit of your furry companion, especially when they are in pain or are suffering, is not something any pet parent takes lightly. Our team is here to help you plan and prepare. Our compassionate staff will assist you in understanding your options for euthanasia, how to prepare, and dealing with grief after your loss.
At Leesville Animal Hospital, we are proud to provide hydrotherapy services to pets with limited mobility. All of our hydrotherapy clients receive a rehabilitation plan tailored to their individual needs. Wondering if your pet may be a candidate for hydrotherapy? Check out our FAQ
