    Dr. Amy Neligon was born and raised in the small town of Wethersfield, Connecticut. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian at an early age as it was a career that combined her love of animals with her strong interest in science. As a child, she was always surrounding herself with a menagerie of cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, turtles, fish and even crayfish.     Dr. Ashley deMey grew up in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley area. Her family was never without a dog growing up, but she found her true passion for veterinary medicine shadowing at a local small animal hospital in high school.
